Hi, thank you for the information shared. I followed your procedure for making antifungal at home, I would like to know how I should use it, do I spray it on the microgreens seeds after I spray the water? How long? Until when does the seed start to germinate? Lately it seems that the sunflower seeds become moldy after a few days of placing them (after a 8 hour soak + a few days of germination) in the container with the coconut fibre, they develop a fuzz that looks like the beginnings of mould, and last time they rotted the roots during growth. Could it be that the seeds purchased are contaminated or old, or something similar? Thank you for your attention, greetings from Italy.

The only issue with the reusable silicon medium is a lot of wasted water and cleaning process. While using cococore everything is compostable. Thank you for sharing and great video content.

Is there a 1010 mesh tray? I only have the 1010 trays both with and without holes. Cannot find any mesh 1010. Can your silicone medium be used the same way without the mesh?

Recycled paper towels is not used paper towels. It is made from saw dust from the mills or from places cutting a lot of wood. It will still be new they just use secondary products to save waste.

It may take a little more time than the coir or soil but no dirt to deal with.

You may already know, but when it comes to opaque surfaces and screen material, the slightest bit of opaque and the even the largest holes in a screen, still block a significant amount of light or air flow or liquid flow. Of course light manufacturers use opaque plastic or opaque glass, to more evenly distribute the light, at the expense of a portion of the light being absorbed behind the plastic/glass, which makes the light appear dimmer. So for growing algae, opaque plastic would more evenly distribute the light, which may reduce hot-spots and get a more consistent temperature and more even light exposure, but at the expense of getting a significantly lower amount of light. When you are dealing with direct sunlight, opaque white plastic helps block some of the light and heat and because the sunlight is soo intense, it is fine. However, when you are using low wattage artificial lights, the amount of light that is blocked is very significant. You can take a LED light with an opaque white plastic lens cover and cut or pry off the plastic lens, and you will notice a HUGE difference in light output. However, you will also make it likely dangerous, since the live electric circuit board is now exposed and could be lethal or start a fire, so I don't recommend it for anything other than testing for educational purposes.

Mandy, If you want to cut down germination time for Parsley, you need to soak the seed in ice cold water for 24 hours. once you put them in the coir, they start to germinate the next day.
